Today you fly to Livingstone for one night at the Zambezi Sun. Your stay here includes breakfast and free entrance to the Victoria Falls.

The Zambezi Sun rests on the banks of the Zambezi River in Zambia. This property offers an environment that is suitable for everyone. All rooms are air-conditioned and have satellite television. The hotel is built around a large central pool which allows you to cool off in the heat of the sun. The Zambezi Sun has the feel of a walled city. The Zambezi Sun Hotel is located in a prime position on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls.

Don't be surprised to find the occasional zebra wandering through the Zambezi Sun's well maintained grounds, while you're relaxing in the bright Zambian sunshine.

The Victoria Falls is just a short walk away, giving you the opportunity to engage in the many activities offered there.

The Victoria Falls is situated on the Zambezi River, on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. They are approximately 1 mile wide and 420 feet high. They are considered a remarkable spectacle because of the peculiar narrow slot-like chasm into which the water falls, so one can view the falls face-on. David Livingstone, a Scottish explorer, visited the falls in 1855 and renamed them after Queen Victoria, though they were known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya "the Smoke that Thunders"

Club Makokola is spaciously laid out in well-tended gardens, but it is the beach that will draw your attention. The lodge has its own vast expanse of pale sand, dotted with low palms and thatched sunshades, under which lie sun loungers with padded cushions. A waiter will take your drinks order and deliver it to you on the beach. This is real decadence.

Do some sailing and windsurfing off the beach or some diving and snorkelling are done at a stunning little offshore island, where tropical fish abound beneath the surface and fish eagles are ever present above it.

There is an enormous swimming pool that is 143 feet long and 52 feet wide. You can get some serious exercise in this pool! If that all seems too much, then just paddle up to the pool bar for some cool cocktails and ice cold beer.
