Day 4

On arrival at Livingstone Airport you will be met by a Sefofane representative and transferred by scheduled light aircraft to Musanza Camp. On arrival at the airstrip you will be met by a lodge representative and transferred by road to the camp.
The Kafue National Park is 22 500 sq km, one of the largest National Parks in Africa. The Kafue River winds through the park entering in the north-eastern corner and is joined by the Lufupa and the Lunga rivers which are the three main veins that bring life into the Kafue National Park. In the extreme north of the Kafue lie the Busanga Plains - one of Zambia's most significant wetland resources and one of the few areas in the world that remain untouched by development and human activity.
Situated on the southern fringe of the Busanga Plains in the Ntemwa region, Musanza Tented Camp is located on the permanent pools of the Lufupa River. Being in an "eco-tone" (area between two differing ecosystems), the Ntemwa area produces excellent game viewing in a variety of habitats, and is well known for its leopard sightings as well as its great diversity of antelope.
The camp is under thick shade on a wooded island and overlooks the river. The six tents, generously spaced to allow for maximum privacy, are semi-permanent, meaning that they are erected at the start of every safari season. The remoteness and rustic appearance of this little camp enhances the "pioneering" sensation of Wilderness' Explorations.
Each tent has crisp, pure cotton linen, duvets on two comfortable beds, a small hanging wardrobe and luggage rack. At the back of each tent is a private flushing toilet and next to that is a shower area with a bucket shower - hot water is available and brought to the tent whenever needed. Lighting is provided by rechargeable lamps and traditional paraffin lanterns.

Day 6
After your morning activity and brunch, you will be transferred by light aircraft to Busanga Airstrip. From here you will have a helicopter transfer to Busanga Bush Camp. Accommodation will be reserved for you for three nights in a room inclusive of all meals, scheduled daily activities, laundry and drinks (excluding premium imported brands).
Busanga Bush Camp in the north-western section of the Busanga is about as'wild' as you can get in today's world: an unfenced mosaic of expansive grassy seasonal floodplains and "dambos" (open grassy areas that sometimes will fill up with rainwater). This camp is perfectly situated for some of the best lion viewing in Africa.
Busanga Bush Camp lies in the heart of the Busanga Plains, a vast mosaic of expansive grassy seasonal floodplains that extends to the horizon. The camp, hidden in a well vegetated tree-island of sycomore fig trees, can accommodate eight guests in four well-appointed tents. The lounge and bar area is under canvas with an uninterrupted view out over the plains; breakfast is often served here to take in the view of herds of lechwe and puku feeding. A little further back is the dining area, shaded by the canopy of a majestic tree from which an unusual lantern chandelier hangs, romantically lighting up dinner; most meals are served in the open air.
Thanks to the rising mist off the floodplains as they dry up in winter, guests can experience incredible sunrises and sunsets, with the sun a spectacular pink colour, while the floodplains and dambos teem with wildlife and birds; the Plains provide some of the best lion viewing in Africa.

Day 7
Today you will be at leisure and participate in game viewing activities offered by the Camp.
Activities include game drives, walking safaris and night drives, led by qualified guides who are extremely knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife. As the plains dry out, this camp is perfectly situated to see large numbers of plains game such as puku, red lechwe, buffalo and wildebeest, followed by their predators, most notably lion. Cheetah and wild dog are also to be seen, while a special treat is the resident herd of roan antelope. For those interested in birding, the park boasts 491 species, including endemics such as Chaplin's Barbet.
