Day 1
Depart New York, NY (JFK) or Washington, DC (DULLES) for Johannesburg on South African Airways.

Day 2
On arrival at Johannesburg's Oliver Tambo International Airport's Central Terminal Building, collect your luggage and then clear customs and immigration. Re-check your bags for your domestic flight to Cape Town. On arrival at Cape Town Airport you will be met by a Lion World Tours representative and taken by private transfer to your hotel.
The gracious Table Bay Hotel is situated in Cape Town's famous Victoria & Alfred Waterfront with its array of wonderful shops, restaurants and bars. Guests are offered panoramic views across the Atlantic Ocean to Robben Island while behind soars Table Mountain. The hotel has a maritime flavour that extends to each room and suite, which has sea or mountain views. The interior of the hotel presents a kaleidoscope of impressions, from the European marble mosaic of the entrance court to the intricate parquet floor of the foyer framed by the full-scale drama of Table Mountain, with the activity of the harbor in the foreground. Another day of leisure in the fascinating city of Cape Town.

Day 6
Early this morning you will be taken by private transfer from your hotel to Cape Town Station for your overnight Blue Train journey to Pretoria, the South African capital, just 30-miles north of Johannesburg. It is nicknamed the "Jacaranda city" for the myriad of purple-blossomed trees lining its streets.
The Blue Train Experience: In the departure lounge, a warm-hearted welcome sets the wheels in motion for a voyage defined by the hallmarks of personal attention and devotion to detail.
Bon voyage. The experience is about to begin.
The route between Cape Town and Pretoria is a 27-hour journey of 1 600 km/994 miles, through some of the most diverse and spectacular scenery offered by the African sub-continent. On the Northbound journey, the train leaves Cape Town at 8:50 am and arrives in Pretoria at 12:30 pm, in time for high tea the following day. It stops at Matjiesfontein for an off-the-train excursion. On arrival at Matjiesfontein guests are invited for a glass of sherry at the bar. The Victorian buildings and original nineteenth century London lampposts impart to the traveller, the uncanny sense of entering a colonial time warp - an oasis suspended in a different age.

Day 7
12:50 pm today, The Blue Train arrives at Pretoria Station.
Butlers usher guests to The Blue Train Lounge.
You will be met and taken by private transfer from Pretoria Station to the Michelangelo Hotel in Johannesburg.
